“The minerals in this collection were all found in the vicinity of the Rhodesia Broken Hill Mine in Zambia in the 1930’s.
The Mine has long since closed, but produced lead, zinc and vanadium. The surrounding town is known as Kabwe.
These specimens all have beautiful crystal structure and are securely mounted. This collection is of a rare zinc
Phosphate known as tarbutite (discovered in 1907 and named after Percy Coventry Tarbutt).
Each is based on various other minerals and this collection is unusual and valuable. “
