More Information

These wines don’t just taste good; they do good. The money they generate goes into the Land of Hope Trust, the direct and sole beneficiaries of whom are the previously disadvantaged employees and dependents of Radford Dale Winery. Rooted in wonderful decomposed granitic soils, this Chenin Blanc is from a single vineyard on an ocean-facing slope of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch from entirely old bush vines. The grapes were all picked and sorted by hand, with the free run juice being fermented then matured on the lees in small Burgundian barrels for 11 months (only 1/5 new). A small portion of tank fermented Chenin was added for the final blend, to enhance the fresh and mineral focus of the wine. International Wine Challenge Silver and Jancis Robinson 16.5/20
