Originally designed by Eero Aarnio, this puppy was adapted by Stephan Antoni and Associates as part of a design project in 2009. 50 of South Africa's top architects, artists and interior designers were asked to create a puppy that reflected South African design to be shown at the Design Indaba. The winner would then represent South Africa in an international competition contested by 32 countries. The South African puppies were auctioned with 50% of the proceeds going to bursaries awarded to design students through the Design Indaba Trust. This puppy was purchased at the auction.
