Rectangular, the top centered by a Shou-medallion enclosed by a lotus flower, encircled by meandering lotus blooms and interlinking leaves forming a shaped cartouche, each corner with a large tree-peony amongst foliate tendrils, all within a key pattern border, the pierced waist decorated with flower-heads above a curved apron painted with further lotuses, raised on four gilded lion-paw feet, the underside lacquered iron-red, clay and fabric visible under the black ground
