The upper pine compartment with a hinged sloping rectangular fall front with a book rest enclosing a compartment and drawer with brass escutcheon, lock and key, a long frieze stinkwood drawer with yellowwood banded inlay, including two escutcheons, a lock and key, fall front inlaid with an ebony and bone starburst. The edges further inlaid with diamond shaped bone and ebony motifs, On four turned stinkwood legs with bunfeet, joined by a turned and knopped yellowwood H shaped stretcher. Recently French polished.
