A FRENCH WHITE MARBLE CLOCK GARNITURE, 19TH CENTURY

Circa 1875, consisting of a portico clock and two matching two light candelabra, 19th century. Ormolu gilt bronze mounts in two shades of gold, classical flower vases adorn the four pillars of the portico clock and the flower garland under the dial are in rose gold, all other mounts are in yellow gold color, the enamel dial of the clock is decorated with finely painted, colourful flower garlands, the hands of the clock are finely pierced gilt steel, above the dial a classical marble urn with a gilt flower bouquet, the dial is crowned with a flower garland, a torch, and a quiver, under the dial a pair of naked, winged cherubs holding a flower garland, clock rests on four marble columns with Corinthian finials in gilt bronze, the lower marble platform is adorned with laurel swags and rests on 5 ormulu feet. The clock has an eight day movement, which chimes on the half and whole hours, the clock is recently cleaned and serviced by a clock maker and is in good working order and complete with an ormulu pendulum with sun shaped face and a winding key. The candle sticks have the same decoration as the central portico clock.
Clock: 55 cm high, 26 cm wide, 15,5 cm deep.
