6 x NV Champagne Moussé Fils Rosé Effusion (750ml), Provenance: Restaurant Mosaic Wine Cellar Collection
Moussé Fils is a producer located in Champagne-Ardenne, France. . The company has a long history that dates back to 1923 when Marcel Mousse established the family-owned vineyard. Since then, the Moussé family has been involved in the production of high-quality champagnes. An unusually deep pink for a Rosé Champagne, with an abundance of tiny bubbles. Being made almost entirely with Pinot Meunier means that this Rosé is extraordinarily fresh and fruity . The dominant aromas are of red fruit: wild strawberries and redcurrants, whilst in the mouth the wine is round with lots of length. Disgorged 25 April 2018.
"The NV Brut Rosé Effusion reveals a delicate bouquet of minty red apples, caramelized citrus peel and subtle hints of licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and understated palate that reveals lovely purity of fruit, ripe but racy acids and a fine, pinpoint mousse. It's 92% Pinot Meunier and exemplifies the classy finesse that the variety unfailingly manifests in Moussé's hands. It will be fascinating to follow its evolution under cork." - William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 91/100 (Apr 2019)
"Moussé's NV Rosé Effusion offers striking depth and resonance in a rich, creamy style that is impossible to resist. There is no shortage of allure to the vinous, deeply expressive Rosé. The solera style that incorporates vintages from 2014 to 2003, with the addition of 12% still Meunier, results in a complex wine built on multiple layers of aromas, flavors and textures." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous, 91/100 (Sep 2016)
"A firm rosé Champagne, with a lively mix of raspberry, grated ginger, smoke and candied orange zest flavors. Fresh and snappy. Drink now." - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator, 90/100 (2017)
