Domaine Marcel Deiss is located in Bergheim, a small village equidistant from the northern and southern boundaries of Alsace in France. Today, the Deiss vineyards are planted to Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Muscat are produced as varietal wines as well as traditional field blends. The Domaine is made up of 26ha of hillside vineyards spread over 9 communes in the area of the Ribeauville fault – the extreme variation in conditions due to various microclimates/geology has lead winemaker Jean-Michel Deiss to seek to express each wine with three factors – grape variety, vintage and terroir. Marcel Deiss cultivate their vineyards biodynamically, with the most careful respect for the plant and its environment in order to obtain wines that express the joint between vineyards and landscape.

Note: Because it has not been filtered, the wine can can present sedimentation(crystals) particularly when chilled.
