Deluxe limited edition of 250 copies, of which this is no. 19. Signed by Philip Bawcombe. Also inscribed by Philip Bawcombe to Harry Roscoe, who printed the book. Roscoe was one of the owners of Rufus and Joubert printers.
Philip William Bawcombe (1906-2000) was an industrial designer, inter alia for film studios, and official South African war artist during World War II, who also produced acclaimed collections of paintings illustrating the cities of Johannesburg, Potschefstroom and Kimberley, in South Africa, published as books in 1973 and 1976 respectively.
