The silver-foil ground coated with a layer of clear sienna lacquer giving a bronzed effect, the lobed top painted with two maidens beneath a large tree within a fenced garden above a splayed pierced and carved apron painted with lotus scrolls, supported by curved legs each carved with a pendant Ruyi decorated with peonies and foliage, all raised on a lobed stretcher
