2. Per Noctem Per Diem: The Story of 24 Squadron-South African Air Force, by E. N. Tucker & P. M. J. McGregor, with previous owner’s signature, service number and service dates, and original postcard photograph, loosely inserted. Published by 24 Squadron Album Committee, 1961, small 4to, 291pp. With full-colour frontispiece and fine monochrome plates. Hardcover with dust jacket.

Condition: Overall good. Theirs is the Glory: Some rubbing and stains to the boards. Slight shelfwear to the top and tail of spine. Some browning to the endpapers and pastedowns. Previous bookseller’s label fixed to front pastedown. Light insect damage to front endpaper. Per Noctem per Diem: Dust jacket has some rubbing, edgewear and small chips. Repair made to reverse of jacket with slip of paper. Minor rubbing to boards, and small bump to bottom corner of rear board. Very light foxing to a few pages, and some foxing to edges of textblock. Splitting to gutter between front endpaper and half title page. Small note in pen to rear endpaper. Text and plates are overall clean in both books, and both books are still well bound.
