The well painted et grisaille with a seated European lady holding a fishing rod while lifting her catch from the river, to her right a gentleman holds a fish before placing it in a basket at his feet, a child is seated to her left pointing at the catch with excitement, all before a landscape dotted with gnarled trees and a castle, the rim painted with cornucopia issuing flowers amongst geometric scrolls, rivet repair
